Mena Suvari Got Engaged

The actress who is well-known for her ‘bathtub roses’ scene in “American Beauty”, Mena Suvari, has reportedly engaged to music producer, Simone Sestito.

The news confirmed yesterday by Suvari’s rep, who said that Sestito asked Suvari to marry him during the couple’s recent trip to Jamaica.

The two met last September while both attending the Toronto International Film Festival, Suvari was there to promote her movie ‘Stuck’. And even though it’s less than a year of dating, they are ready to move on to the next big step.

About the wedding though, according to a friend of the couple, “They’re taking their time planning the wedding. They are in no rush”.

In March 2000, Suvari married cinematographer Robert Brinkmann, who is 18-years her senior (she was 21). The wedding ended in divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, and finalized in May 2005. So this will be her second time down the aisle, first for Sestito, and hopefully forever for both.

Other than that, Suvari will be soon be seen in film adaptation of Hemingway’s “The Garden of Eden”, where she’s playing Catherine, the new wife of writer David. The movie is scheduled to be released later this year. Well, congratulations to the happy couple!
