Katherine Heigl Will Continuing Grey’s Anatomy

Although rumors spread that Katherine Heigl will be ‘axed’ from “Grey’s Anatomy” post her Emmy Award’s nomination refusal and then negative comments she made about the show, apparently rumors are only rumors.

According to ABC Entertainment President, Stephen McPherson, the 29-year-old actress will still join the cast of Grey’s. And in fact, he confirmed, “She is a fantastically talented actress. She is absolutely staying with the show. She has an unbelievable storyline for her this year, which is really central to everything that is going to go on this season. (Grey’s creator) Shonda is really excited about that; she’s the one who actually crafted that”.

Her co-star on the show, Eric Dane who played ‘McSteamy’, also added, “She’s a great girl, professional, she likes her job and I don’t think Shonda has any intentions of killing her off”.

Beside busy portraying Izzie, Heigl is also acting for the big screen. After “27 Dresses” that was released last January, she will be seen next year in “The Ugly Truth”. Good news for Heigl then, she could prolong her role as Dr. Isobel ‘Izzie’ Stevens on the series. Grey’s fans gonna miss Izzie’s boldness and those cakes she likes to bake if she got cut. Go Izzie!
