Shannen Doherty Confirmed Joining the New Beverly Hills 90210!

It’s official!

We’ll be seeing a lot more of Brenda Walsh in the upcoming fresh-and-rejuvenated ‘90210′ (the “Beverly Hills” is remove from the title to distance itself from the previous incarnation). During the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills on Saturday, executive producer of the new show, Gabe Sachs said, “Shannen Doherty will be returning to 90210″.

The ‘Charmed’ actress will join other original cast members, such as Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling. Jennie Garth, whose character named Kelly Taylor, will comeback as a counselor at West Beverly (their old high school). Tori Spelling will comeback as the sweet Donna Martin, who owns her own boutique. While for Brenda Walsh, her storyline has not been finalized yet. But the fact that she already on the list of cast, that’s good enough to say “Hooray!”.

Even though good news came from the girls’ side, apparently it’s the opposite from the boys’ side. Jason Priestley who played Brenda’s twin brother, Brandon Walsh, had refused to make a comeback. Luke Perry had also denied to reprise his role as Dylan McKay. But a bit light of hope came from Ian Ziering, who is in negotiating process to comeback as Steve Sanders.
