Kurt Cobain’s widow, Courtney Love has been sued by a business management and accounting firm for nearly $1 million, claiming she failed to pay them a share of profits from the sale of Nirvana’s publishing catalog.

On Tuesday (7/22), the firm had filed five-page lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court claims the ‘Hole’ lead singer sold a portion of Nirvana’s publishing catalog for $19.5 million in 2006. Los Angeles-based London & Co. accused Love broke an oral contract to share 5 percent of any of her earnings or those from her company, The End of Music, the company that was created to manage Cobain’s intellectual property, including his career with Nirvana.

London & Co. claims its share from the sale would have been $975,000. Love is the one who’s being accused, because she’s the one with most of the rights to Cobain and Nirvana’s work, after Cobain committed suicide in 1994. There’s no further explanation from the firm’s side, and still no comments from Love’s rep.

Hmm… it doesn’t smells like teen spirit, but it is something smelly!
