More on Shia LaBeouf’s DUI Case

Shia LaBeouf might not be one to blame on his recent DUI case.

When the accident happened on Sunday, it was suspected that LaBeouf lose the control of his truck because of drinking. The actor’s pickup truck collided with another vehicle at 3 a.m. Sunday in West Hollywood. The passenger on LaBeouf’s car, his co-star on”Transformers 2″, Isabel Lucas and the driver of the other vehicle were not seriously injured. And according to the police at the crime scene, 22-year-old LaBeouf was ‘intoxicated’.

But then on Tuesday, Steve Whitmore, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said, “LaBoeuf has been determined at this stage not to have caused the accident.” He then added that the other driver, who has not been identified, failed to stop for a red light and slammed into the truck LaBeouf was driving.

The actor who played as Indy’s son on “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” was cited for misdemeanor driving under the influence, had surgery for injuries to his left hand, but Whitmore said officials are waiting for results of a toxicology test before filing a formal charge. No comment yet from his rep.

Thank God no one got killed, but this should be a grand lesson for everybody. Stay tuned for the case’s development…!
