Despite the Joker said, “Why so serious?”, Batman’s sequel The Dark Knight is damn seriousssss in the box-office. The movie about Gotham’s superhero (slash vigilante) broke another record by surpassing the $400 million mark in just 18 days. That’s not even in three weeks people!

The Dark Knight became the fastest film to reach $100 million, $200 million, $300 million, and now, the fastest film to $400 million. Big 400.
Previously record was held by ‘Shrek 2′, passing the $400 million mark in 43 days. Batman has just beat the green ogre. After just two-and-a-half weeks in release, The Dark Knight sits at eighth place on the list of all-time grossers. And that rank will have a big chance to change, because ‘The Dark Knight’ is predicted will still speeding up in the box-office.
At the same point in its release, 18 days in, Titanic had grossed $160 million, and then accumulated its record $601 million, making it the No. 1 all-time box-office champ. Well, with all the good acceptances and enthusiasm, ‘The Dark Knight’ is expected to still knighted the box office, and could possibly steal the top spot. It does beat Titanic in 18 days release, right?
