Jewel Got Married to Her Rodeo Man

The pop-turn-country singer Jewel is married to her longtime boyfriend, rodeo champion Ty Murray, on Thursday (8/7).

According to her rep, the couple eloped to the Bahamas and exchanged vows in a private ceremony. As her rep said, “She wore a traditional wedding gown, while Ty wore his favorite blue jeans, white shirt and cowboy hat. The couple is very happy and look forward to enjoying their honeymoon”.

The pair had always been low-key about their relationship, and even though they have been together for ten years, there’s no engagement announcement. Suddenly, they got married.

The couple who share a 2,200-acre ranch in Stephenville, Texas, first met in 1999. Apparently, Jewel’s father was also a former rodeo champion, so there’s a connection between them.

Jewel released second single entitled “I Do”, from her debut country album “Perfectly Clear” on June 23, 2008. The video for the single featured Murray.

Just like the title of the song, they finally said the words in their Holy Matrimony. Congratulations both!
