After got treated for pneumonia, 50-year-old Bernie Mac is responding well to the treatment and hopes to be released in the next few weeks, said by his spokeswoman. On Thursday, Mac’s publicist, Danica Smith said in a statement that the “Ocean’s Eleven” actor condition is stable.

Last week, a shocking news about the comedian’s health came up. He suffered from pneumonia and had to be hospitalized in Chicago. Even though he once had an inflammatory lung disease, but the pneumonia wasn’t related to that, because the disease has been in remission since 2005.

Mac’s voice will be heard as Zuba, in the sequel of animation movie, “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa”. Zuba is a lion, the father of Ben Stiller’s character, Alex. He is also one of the actors from the upcoming movie “Old Dogs”, joining John Travolta and Robin Williams.
