Selena Gomez is Going to be in a Band!

Unlike Miley Cyrus who recently released a debut album, “Breakout”, fellow teen idol Selena Gomez had something different in her mind about her singing career. She’s not going to be a solo artist, she’s going to be in a band.

As she said in an interview, “I’m going to be in a band — no Selena Gomez stuff. I’m not going to be a solo artist. I think that I don’t want my name attached to it”.

The 16-year-old actress said that the album will have a pop/rock feel to it, and she plans to play instruments on some of the album’s tracks. She added, “I basically want to make music that is fun and that parents and kids can jump around to and have a good time to. I will be singing, and I’m learning drums and playing electric guitar.”

The Disney channel star also said about wanted to take a backseat at times during live gigs. “I would like to try it and kind of switch it up. When I do the tour and stuff, I would like to do maybe a section on the piano or on guitar or on drums.”

Hmmm… she does have a plan. let’s see if she’s going to make it happen and be a tough competitor for other teen singers. Good Luck Selena!
