Country singer Keith Urban, will sing a duet with Olivia Newton-John on her forthcoming album, “Olivia Newton-John & Friends: A Celebration in Song”. Both Australian natives will sing a song that was originally they co-wrote for Newton-John’s earlier album, “Olivia (2)”. The song is titled “Sunburned Country”.

As a breast cancer survivor, Newton-John will donating her new record’s royalties to the “Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Center”, a comprehensive center for the treatment, care and research of all types of cancer. The album plans to release on Sept. 2, and will packed with much more collaborations and/or duets with her musical friends such as Sir Cliff Richard, Barry Gibb, John Farrar, Delta Goodrem and Richard Marx.

The 59-year-old beauty said about the album, “I’m so delighted to bring you these songs with the help of a group of talented friends – some old and some new – who have donated their gifts and their time for this new collaboration.”

Newton-John is an avid activist for breat cancer awareness, and had already participated in many events with breast cancer issues. Previously on April 2008, the ‘Grease’ star led a three-week, 228 km walk along the Great Wall of China joined by various celebrities and cancer survivors throughout her trek. The walk symbolized the steps cancer patients must take on their road to recovery.

Choosing Keith Urban, new father of daughter Sunday, as a musician to collaborated with, is a good choice made by Newton-John. He got a large fanbase in the country genre, and music overall.

May the good intentions get much much great acceptances in public. Keep up the great work!
