David Beckham Will Participate in Olympics’ Closing Ceremony

You don’t want to miss the Beijing Olympics’ Closing Ceremony. Other than the abvious reason that it will a fabolous event -with all that spectacles and great athletes-, the closing ceremony got something else that will attracts millions people watching. That’s because David Beckham will participate in it.
The football superstar could be seen in the August 24 closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. A source said, “David is going to be in the surprise finale. They always have a segment to do the handover, to showcase the next city to host the Olympics”.
When the Games end at Beijing’s National Stadium, the world’s attention will transfers to London in 2012. Beckham, a British, is going to be there to help mark the transition. This 33-year old father of three will be the right icon representing his native country.
The source then added, “He was very involved in the London bid to get it, and as a Londoner he is incredibly proud that the Olympics will be in London. He is passionate about it and looking forward to the games in 2012″.
Although Beckham’s schedule is already sports-packed, but the source said he will make it to Beijing, no matter what. The source stated, “If his [calendar] works out, he will be able to go from the L.A. Galaxy game to Beijing. It also depends on if he gets picked for the next England game, as he can go on from there”.
