Batman had escaped from Joker’s trouble, Christian Bale had also escaped from his legal trouble.

After being accused allegedly assaulting his mother and sister, Bale who played Batman in “The Dark Knight” will not face charges over the issue, as said by Britain’s prosecution service on Thursday (8/14).

The case started when on July 20, a day before he attended the European premiere of his latest film “The Dark Knight”, Bale’s mother and sister told police he assaulted them at his suite at the luxury Dorchester Hotel. The case was taken seriously, but police waited a day to arrest Bale so he could attend the film’s premiere in London’s Leicester Square. He was later questioned for several hours at a police station before being released on bail. The 34-year-old star has denied the accusations.

Yesterday, good news came for Bale’s camp. A spokesman from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) decided that Bale “should not face any charges following an incident which occurred in relation to his mother and sister at the Dorchester Hotel on 21 July this year. Whilst the CPS treats all incidents which take place in a domestic context seriously, it is important that the views of complainants are also taken into account when making decisions in such case”.

The spokesman also added, “Taking all the factors into consideration, the decision has been taken that there is insufficient evidence to afford a realistic prospect of conviction, and accordingly the police have been advised that no further action should be taken against Mr. Bale”.

Through his spokeswoman, Jennifer Allen, Wales-born Bale said that he was relieved the issue had been settled. The actor hopes to put the matter firmly behind him and will be providing no further comment, Allen said in a statement released by Bale’s lawyers. While his family had previously declined to comment, saying the issue was a personal matter.

“The Dark Knight” has become the fastest film in history to pass 400 million dollars at the North American box office, according to cinema sales figures released earlier this month. The movie is still on top of the box office, reigning for the fourth weekend. Now with this case settled, Bale’s life couldn’t be better!
