Ricky Martin is Now Father of Twins!

Long time never heard, singer Ricky Martin is reported has become the father of twin boys through a surrogate mother.

As said in a statement made by Martin’s rep on Tuesday, “In recent weeks, Ricky Martin became a proud father by the birth of twin sons. The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky’s full-time care.”

“Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children”, added the spokesman without any further information on the details of the children’s birth, or about the mother of the babies.

This 36-year-old singer was known worldwide for his hits, such as; “Livin’ La Vida Loca”, “Shake Your Bon Bon”, “Maria” and “She Bangs”. The last one has become a phenomenal song which made American Idol’s contestant, William Hung, famous for singing his own version of the song. Once joined Latin boy band Menudo, Martin was a singing sensation with his good looks and great voice.

In recent years, along with his slowing down music career, the Puerto Rican star has been active in charitable efforts, including the prevention of sexual exploitation of children through his Ricky Martin Foundation, maintains residences in New York and Miami.
