Britney, One More Time… on VMA!

Well hello there! Sorry for the late updates on StarsJournal, just comeback from an awesome holiday… And now rejuvenated to write some great news on famous people! You miss us, don’t you? Hehehe…

Okay, no more chit-chat, let’s get cookin’!

It’s not only rumors anymore, it’s gonna happen. MTV Video Music Awards is giving Britney another chance, despite her terrible (comeback) performance at the MTV VMA last year.

They had confirmed that Spears will open the show that will be held on Sunday. Although it won’t be a musical performance by Spears, as said by MTV Networks Music Group President Van Toffler.

On Wednesday, Toffler said that it’ll be something “fun and unexpected” on Sunday night’s show, added “Britney has done everything from perform with a snake, lock lips with Madonna and prove that what happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas,” referring to Spears’ last year performance in Vegas. He said, “I can’t wait to see what she does to kick off this year’s show”.

The former pop queen herself commented, “MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs? I’m excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated”.

Besides having been nominated 16 times -although never won any-, this year Miss Brit is up for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video of the Year for “Piece of Me”.

Eventhough this won’t be a performance, but hopefully Britney’s appearance on this year’s VMA will turns out great and be a ‘medicine’ for those who miss her. Especially since Brit is heading a better path now, with her custody battle settled and her new album on progress, let’s just wait what Britney Spears will come up with. Keep those finger crossed and stay tune this Sunday!
