Christina Aguilera Releasing a Record Exclusively Through Target

Another singer doing exclusive deal with big retail store Target, this time it’s Christina Aguilera’s turn.

The Award-winning singer announced Wednesday that she will release her greatest hits CD, entitled “Keeps Gettin’ Better — A Decade of Hits” exclusively only at Target. The compilation will be out on November 11 and will feature two new songs as well as re-recorded versions of two other hits, “Genie in a Bottle” and “Beautiful”.

The 27-year-old singer said in a statement, “I can’t believe it’s been over 10 years since my first album and it was really exciting to put all of my favorite songs in one collection for my fans.” Aguilera’s latest album is “Back to Basics”, released August 2006. After the album, Aguilera is busy being a new mother of Max, now 7-month-old handsome son.

Aguilera is following other singers’ footsteps who already signed an exclusive deal with Target. John Legend had his “Live From Philadelphia” a Target exclusive in January, Carrie Underwood and Alicia Keys had done the same thing before. Another big retail store, Wal-Mart also has had similar deals with The Eagles, Journey, and Garth Brooks.

Well, many ways to sell album, and may this way makes Aguilera’s album successfully sold!
