American Idol’s champ, David Cook, is finally set the date for his debut album release.

Even though the album has not been named yet, but it will hit the stores on November 18, as announced by Cook’s label, 19 Recordings/ RCA Records, yesterday morning. Not only announcing about his album’s release, the label also launch DavidCookOfficial.com, which is the official website of the newest Idol and the go-to source for his written and recorded blog musings.

25-year-old Cook has been busy recording the tracks for the album over the summer, in between gigs on the American Idols Live! Tour, which ended this weekend. The album’s first single is also due out in the next few weeks, though the title has yet to be unveiled. Cook has released “The Time of My Life” as his first single post American Idol, exclusively on iTunes last May. But it is still unknown if the song will be included in his debut album or not.

For the album, Cook confirmed in an interview last month that he was working with well-connected producer Rob Cavallo, whose previous collaborations include famous names in rock, such as Green Day and Kid Rock.

As for his rival from the competition, David Archuleta, it was reported that the cute Archu has also announced his album will be released in November, with possibility will release his debut on the same day as Cook.

Hmmm… is the battle still on? Let’s see for the outcome next month! Good luck Cook!
