Serena Williams Will Write Her Own Memoir

Tennis superstar, Serena Williams is reportedly will pen a memoir about herself.

The athlete’s publisher says that the memoir will feature “a motivational slant.” And in a more detailed statement made by the publisher, Grand Central Publishing, the book will offer Williams’s “physical and emotional setbacks.” The memoir is planned to be released in 2009.

This 26-year-old athlete who had just won U.S. Open, is the younger sister of a former World No. 1 professional female tennis player, Venus Williams. Serena currently held the top ranks, replacing her sister. She has won 18 Grand Slam titles; 9 singles, 7 doubles along with her sister, 2 mixed doubles and two Olympic gold medals in women’s doubles.

Before became an author, Serena had also tried a different field from tennis. She designs clothes, and have her own fashion line, “Aneres”. She had provided her voice along with her sister Venus in several animated series, most notably in one episode of “The Simpsons,” titled “Tennis the Menace.” On November last year, Williams joined her boyfriend Common, Alicia Keys and Kanye West in a music video called “I Want You”.

Well well well, with that long list of resume, Serena can add author now and making it even longer. Good luck with the book girl!
