Finally Confirmed: Clay Aiken is Gay!

One of American Idol alumni, Clay Aiken has finally came out of the closet, by confirming that he is gay.

Appeared on the latest cover of People Magazine, Aiken was seen holding his newborn, Parker Foster Aiken, with the headline: “Yes, I’m Gay”. The cover also has the quote from the singer, “I cannot raise a child to lie or hide things”.

On Tuesday, Perezhilton.com was the first giving an exclusive look at the upcoming issue of the magazine. The magazine itself planned to run the story on its Web site Today. A spokeswoman for People would neither confirm nor deny that Aiken told the magazine he is gay. Instead, the magazine issued a statement saying, “We can confirm that Clay Aiken and his son appear on the next cover of People. For the complete story, visit people.com at 7 a.m. (EDT Wednesday) (1100 GMT) morning”.

29-year-old crooner blessed with a son last August. The baby’s mother is Aiken’s friend and record producer Jaymes Foster, who had worked with him post Aiken’s participation on American Idol. The runner-up from American Idol 2003 had already released several albums, his latest album “On My Way Here,” released on May 2008.

Not only as a singer, Aiken also has made his Broadway debut this spring in “Monty Python’s Spamalot”. Looks like his acting stays in the stage, because no more act in his real life! Applause for Mr. Aiken!
