Became a new parents proved to be the reason behind Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s increasing awareness and endless effort to help the children.

They may a beginner in philantropic and kindness field, but every little step they took had definitely made a difference to someone else. Through their foundation, the Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation, the couple had raised close to $10,000 toward their goal of $35,000 to build a playground for the children at Beyond Shelter in Los Angeles.

Last week, the pair launched a campaign, “Text CHILD to 90999 Campaign”. They encouraged people to make a donation by sending text messages to them. Then, the funds came in via 1,825 text messages, each donating $5, from donations in 48 states. It is still a long way to go, but that’s a great start!

May the supports keep pouring in, and hopefully these parents of 8-months-old Harlow will keep continuing their caring act. Bless them both!
