Son of the Hulk “hulkster” Hogan, Nick Bollea, will have the opportunity to smell the air of freedom a bit sooner that it should be.
18-year-old Bollea has been serving an eight-month sentence at Pinellas County Jail in Clearwater, Florida and is getting out of jail nearly three months early with credits for good behavior and working. The early release follows standard procedures for all inmates, as said by a jail official who did not want to be identified, “They automatically get credits towards early release, and if they don’t do anything bad while they’re here, they get to use the credits”. Bollea is due to be released Oct. 21.
Back in August 2007, Bollea involved in a car accident, which injured his friend and passenger John Graziano (22) so bad, to the point where he will be in a nursing home the rest of his life. From the crime scene at the time and the case’s development, the Police have a receipt that shows Bollea purchased beer at an Albertsons, including two cases of Miller Lite beer, two cases of Corona beer, one case of Miller Chill beer, and five bags of ice. Bollea was later indicted as an adult on four criminal charges on November 7, 2007, in which Bollea pleaded no contest. He was sentenced to eight months in jail on May 9, 2008.
A lawyer for Graziano family, George Tragos of St. Petersburg, Fla., responded the news by saying that he is not surprised to hear that Hogan is getting out early. As he said, “It’s standard procedure. There is no way for us to impact his release date, that’s not within our control. It’s a formula worked out by the sheriff.”
Well, hopefully Nick’s early release will make him a better person in the future, a more responsible man. He must be aware by now that driving and drinking definitely shouldn’t go along together. It could change someone’s hopeful future, just like what happened to Graziano. Come on Nick, do not repeat your mistakes!
