Hayden Panettiere
The case of the father of Heroes TV series star, Hayden Panettiere, Alan has continued.
Announced Thursday by prosecutors at the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office, 49-year-old Alan Panettiere has been formally charged with misdemeanor battery for an incident last August in which he allegedly hit his wife, Lesley Vogel. Panettiere will faces arraignment on Oct. 11. And if convicted, he faces up to a year in a Los Angeles county jail.
The incident took place August 11 at the family’s West Hollywood home. The couple who had just came home from a charity event hosted by their daughter Hayden, got into a fight. At the time, a sheriff’s spokesman said Panettiere was arrested and accused of hitting his wife three times with an open hand. Panettiere was reportedly “struck his wife (Lesley Vogel) one or two times on the cheek causing bruising with a closed fist”. Another sheriff’s official also confirmed that alcohol was involved.
Panettiere was later released on $50,000 bail after the arrest. Interviewed by media after he was released on bail, Alan Panettiere said the incident was a “misunderstanding” and that “nothing actually happened”. 19-year-old Hayden also supported his dad by saying, “It was blown way out of proportion by a sheriff who wanted his 15 minutes of fame”. Panettiere’s next arraignment will be held in October at a Beverly Hills courthouse.
Hopefully this family matters won’t affect Hayden’s professional image. She has bright careers in the future, especially because the third season of ‘Heroes’ has just kicked off 4 days ago. That’s okay, just keep focus and keep your spirit up, Hayden!
