Natalie Cole
After spending almost two weeks in the hospital because of a setback in her battle with Hepatitis C, “Miss You Like Crazy” singer Natalie Cole is reported back at her Los Angeles home, continuing the recovery process by resting in bed.
As said on Thursday by the singer’s representative, Maureen O’Connor, “She is back at home and she seems to be doing pretty well. The Hepatitis C is pretty much under control. She did need to do some kidney dialysis but that’s not related to the Hepatitis C”.
The daughter of singing legend Nat King Cole shared her illness in July, saying that she had been diagnosed with Hepatitis C that she probably had because of her drug use habit more than 30 years ago. At the time, Cole’s doctors said she was responding well to treatment but was suffering side effects including fatigue, muscle aches and dehydration.
Because of the setback, 58-year-old Cole had to canceled her October tour dates and all other appearances. According to O’Connor, the Grammy-award winning singer is also expected to spend most of October on bed rest, but Cole was considering resuming some of her schedule in November.
Natalie Cole was worldwide noted when she collaborated with her late father singing a beautiful song, “Unforgettable”. The duet could finally happened with a little help from technology, where Natalie performed the song using her father’s original recording. That’s unforgettable, alright!
Her latest album is “Still Unforgettable”. that was released September 9, 2008. In the album, Cole did another virtual duet with her late father for the first single, Nat King’s own hit in 1951, “Walkin’ My Baby Back Home”. They both appeared in the video as well.
Well, welcome back home Natalie, hoping all the best for the recovery process!
