David Archuleta, runner-up from this year’s American Idol, is reportedly will try to take his talent up for a new challenge other than singing.
The 17-year-old cutie is set to make his acting debut in an episode of Nickelodeon’s “iCarly”. As confirmed by the television network, Archuleta will play as himself. The series tells a story about a high school girl, played by Miranda Cosgrove, who runs a video blog with her friends. In the episode titled “iRocked the Vote”, Archuleta guest-star as one of the contestants on an Idol-style show called “America Sings.” He gets a huge spike in votes after winning support in an iCarly webcast.
The episode with Archuleta appeared as cameo will be aired next spring. And in the mean time, Archu is still busy preparing for his debut album’s release on November 11. His first music video for the single “Crush,” had already been released a few weeks ago.
Will his acting debut make more fans crush on him? hmm.. we’ll see. Good luck for your rising career David!

This is great! Another opportunity for his fans, old and new, to watch him spread his wings. This show is the perfect vehicle for him, and I can’t wait to watch it, and I can’t wait to hear his debut album on 11/11… Thumbs up to you David – we love you!

Can’t wait to see David on this show! If he acts half as well as he sings, we are in for a treat.. This guy is AWESOME!
