The star of “P.S. I Love You”, Gerard Butler is being investigated for an alleged attack on a photographer, as said by a Los Angeles police spokeswoman on Wednesday.
After Keanu’s incident last March that now has been settled, and what happened with Kanye West last month, it looks like the battle between celebrities and paparazzi won’t be over soon. Especially with the addition of this newest clash case.
According to LAPD spokeswoman Ana Aguirre, a photographer filed a police report accusing Butler, who played as King Leonidas in the action movie “300″, of punching him several times in the face in a scuffle early on Tuesday morning. Investigators plan to contact Butler over the report, which names the 38-year-old actor as a suspect for misdemeanor battery, Aguirre added. Butler’s lawyer could not be reached for comment.
It was started when the photographer, who was not named, had been following this Scottish-born actor in his car after he left a bar in Los Angeles. Soon later, the photographer said Butler got out of the car and threw three or four punches at him, which resulted in a hospital visit for stitches to his lip. That must’ve been some serious punches.
Butler will soon can be seen in Guy Ritchie’s film, entitled “RocknRolla”. He is cast as One-Two, a street-smart gangster involved in a lucrative real-estate scheme. The movie already have its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last month, and set to be released in major North American cities this month.
Hopefully this case won’t affect his acting career and the release of his new movie. Well, Mr. Butler… as King Leonidas would say, “This is Hollywood!” You must deal with those exciting (and more often annoying) paps anyway.
