Mariah Carey Throws Surprise Birthday Party For Her Husband Nick Cannon

Mariah Carey is proving her care for her husband by throwing a surprise birthday party for Nick Cannon last Tuesday.

While Cannon did his deejay thing Tuesday night at Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas, the “I’ll Be Lovin’ You Long Time” singer was celebrating the birthday of her husband-of-five-months with a sweet surprise, a day early (Cannon turned 28 on Wednesday). Carey held court at a VIP table next to Cannon’s deejay booth, where the actor/deejay spun rock and hip hop for nearly three hours. Cannon took time to give a “shout out to my beautiful wife in the building”, as an act of his gratitude.

A bit later, 38-year-old Carey arranged for a big birthday cake to be brought out for Cannon. It was a three-stories flame-themed cake, with reddish icing cake (seen a bit orange-y actually) and black bow on top of it, plus “Happy Birthday Nick” written on it. “Thank you, my love”, the former Nickelodeon star said into the microphone to his wife. “We about to take this to the next level!”

The couple have been staying at the Bellagio since Saturday, when they arrived in Vegas to shoot Carey’s new music video. She is set to shoot her next single, “I Stay in Love”, directed by her own husband. We’re talking about mixing business with pleasure here, but I’m sure they’re both professionals. It’s just a bit nepotism, hehe.
