Lisa Marie Presley Delivered Twin Baby Girls

More addition to the Presleys!

The only child of Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie Presley gave birth to twin girls last Tuesday (10/7). In a statement released Saturday, Lisa Marie’s publicist, Cindy Guagenti said, “The babies and mom are happy and healthy and resting at home”. One baby weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces and the other came in at 5 pounds and 2 ounces; both delivered via Caesarean section at 2:46 p.m. The births took place somewhere on the West Coast but mo more details provided, including names of the babies were not released.

The twins are the first children together for 40-year-old Presley and 47-year-old Michael Lockwood, a musician/music producer. Presley already had a 19-year-old daughter, Riley -who is now a model- and a 15-year-old son with ex-husband Danny Keough. Presley had also married to “King of Pop” Michael Jackson and then actor Nicolas Cage, both not long-lasted.

As the daughter of legendary crooner and hip-shaker, Lisa Marie is following in the musical footsteps of her father. She had released two albums, and last year she released a version of Elvis’ “In the Ghetto”. Elvis Presley originally released the single in 1969. In the new version, Lisa Marie duets with her father. The video that was simultaneously released with the single reached #1 on the iTunes sales and #16 on Billboard’s Bubbling Under Hot 100 singles chart. All of the profits were donated to charity.

Well, although the “King of Rock n’ Roll” only had one daughter, but his daughter has given him many grandchildren to carry on the legendary surname. Congrats for the twins Lisa Marie!
