Andy Dick
Andy Dick had come to his senses and pleaded guilty to misdemeanor drug and battery charges.
In a Murrieta courtroom Friday, the comedian was ordered to serve three years of probation and wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet -known as a SCRAM device that measures alcohol through the skin- for the next year. Two other charges against 42-year-old Dick will be dropped.
The actor did not appear in a Riverside County courtroom to answer to the charges, but his attorney, Jeffery Rubenstein stood in for him. Rubenstein said that “Andy is a great guy. People don’t really know him and we are considering this matter closed. He’s looking forward to putting this matter behind him.”
Looking back last mid-July, Dick was arrested outside the Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar in Murrieta after the police got a report about a highly intoxicated male that allegedly walked up to the 17-year-old female victim, grabbed her tank top and bra and pulled them down and exposed her breasts.
Although later prosecutors determined Dick did not commit felony sexual battery, but at the time police found a small quantity of marijuana and a -without prescription- Xanax tablet in his front pocket. Dick was definitely busted.
Well, hopefully Dick learned a valuable lesson from the incident, and no more repetitive misdemeanors in the future. Okay Dick?!
