Lil Wayne Will Have A Lil Boy

Lil Wayne is having a double triple joy right now.

Not only he won ‘Lyricist of the Year’ on the BET Hip-Hop Awards, the rapper is currently waiting for the birth of his first son. During his acceptance speech for the award on Saturday night, Wayne announced the news, happily saying, “I got a son about to be born any day now, so shout-out to him. Pray for me.” And being a good citizen, Wayne also reminded the crowd to vote in November.

At the show, the Lollipop singer also said he is about to release a new version of his album Tha Carter III. As we reported earlier this month, Wayne is currently working on his new album. Through the night, Wayne was spotted hanging out with friends and performing during N.E.R.D.’s “Spazz” and T-Pain’s “Can’t Believe It” and “Chopped And Screwed.”

Besides being nominated with twelve nominations that night, and won ‘Lyricist of the year’, Wayne also won the People’s Champ Award and MVP of the Year over fellow rappers; Jay-Z, Kanye West and T.I. He dedicated the award to his daughter Reginae, from his previous marriage with high school sweetheart, Antonia “Toya” Johnson. The two got married on 2004’s Valentine’s Day, and divorced on 2006.
