Jennifer Hudson’s Family Loss

Our ‘Dreamgirl’, Jennifer Hudson, must have never dreamt about this before, and maybe… hoping that all of this were only a dream.

Dark clouds is on The Hudsons right now, since the brutal murders of the singer’s mother and brother last Friday afternoon. Jennifer Hudson’s mother, 57-year-old Darnell Donerson, was found dead Friday afternoon in Donerson’s south side Chicago home. A male victim’s body was also found, and later on, it was learned that the other victim was Hudson’s older brother, 29-year-old Jason Hudson.

Both were shot to death in the home around 3:00 pm, autopsies showed that the pair died from multiple gunshot wounds; the female victim was shot in the head, while a man sustained a gunshot wound to the chest, as said by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. Jennifer’s 7-year-old nephew, Julian King, has also been reported missing.

Hudson’s sister Julia has pleaded for the return of her missing son at a news conference along with the boy’s father, Greg King. A tearful plea for her son’s life were said addressing the media at a Baptist church on the South Side of Chicago Saturday. “Give me my baby back. That’s all I ask. I know he’s out there. Put him on the side of the street. Just let him go.”

Chicago police asked the FBI to help in the search in case the boy had been taken across state lines, in violation of federal kidnap laws. An AMBER Alert also remained in effect Sunday for Julian. On behalf of her family, the Academy-award winning actress use her MySpace blog to ask the public for help in finding her missing nephew. Hudson wrote, “Thank you all for your prayers and your calls. Please keep praying for our family and that we get Julian King back home safely. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact the authorities immediately. Here is a picture of Julian and what he was last seen wearing. Once again thank you all for being there for us through this tough time.” Jennifer Hudson and her family had released a statement offering a $100,000 reward for the safe return of Julian.

Right now, the police are looking for a white 1994 Chevrolet Suburban registered to Jason Hudson with Illinois license plate No. X584859, they say the boy could be inside. The police also had initially identified William Balfour, Julia’s estranged husband and Julian’s step-father as a suspect in the case. There have been reports that the couple had been arguing before the incident happened. 27-year-old Balfour had reportedly been taken for questioning, but the boy was not with him.

It was reported that the former American Idol contestant was in Florida when she heard the news. She had been planning to go to Japan Monday to promote her new album, but that trip has been canceled.

Our heart was truly saddened when heard the news. Big condolences goes for The Hudsons, be strong all, may Julian will soon be found and back to safety. God Bless…
