Lily Allen Will Release Her Second Album Next Year

British’s singer Lily Allen had announced dates for the release of her second album, entitled It’s Not Me, It’s You. Phew! Finally!

The album will come out in the United Kingdom on February 9, and the following day in the US and Canada. The album was recorded at Eagle Rock Studios in Los Angeles with producer Greg Kurstin. Allen co-wrote the songs for the album, a bit upgrade from her previous work in which she just wrote lyrics for finished tracks. The 23-year-old singer also plans a North American tour in the Spring of 2009 to help promote the album.

Allen is an active MySpace celebrity, and as of 19 August there has been between 250,000 and one million downloads for each song from the upcoming album that she has made publicly available on her MySpace page. On October 23, Allen released Everyone’s At It, the first track from the album for download on her MySpace page. The song heard as a commentary on the drug culture and is expected to cause controversy from the lyrics.
