Amy Winehouse’s Husband, Blake Fielder-Civil Got Released From Jail

British singer Amy Winehouse must be singing songs of joy right now!

Her beloved husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, was released from Edmunds Hill Prison in Suffolk on Wednesday. 26-year-old Blake had served almost a year behind bars. He got arrested on November 8, 2007, at his flat, witnessed by Winehouse. Fielder-Civil was arrested on charges stemming from a pub brawl of assault and perverting the course of justice, or in another sentence, he’s trying to cover it up.

Then, on June 5, this former video assistant pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 27 months. Lawyers explained at the time that he would have to serve about half that time, and had already been in jail for nine months when the sentence was passed. 25-year-old Winehouse was nowhere to be seen as her husband left the prison. Probably she rested at home after earlier this week received treatment for a chest infection.

Too bad Winehouse wasn’t there to give her husband a welcome hug, because as part of the terms of his early release, Fielder-Civil has checked into rehab, as soon as possible. And since rehab centers typically don’t allow visitors at the beginning stages of recovery, it could still be weeks before Winehouse is reunited with her husband.
