Winona Ryder Was Briefly Hospitalized After Flight

Winona Ryder Rushed to the Hospital
Incident at flight could happened to anybody, and it happened to Winona Ryder just a few days ago.
Winona Ryder was taken to Hillingdon Hospital in Uxbridge, West London, after falling ill on a flight from Los Angeles to London’s Heathrow Airport on Wednesday, hospital and airline spokesmen said. Ryder’s spokeswoman, Mara Buxbaum, called it a “precautionary measure” and the actress was quickly discharged. “She’s fine now,” Buxbaum said. No further details were given of Ryder’s illness.
A spokesman for British Airways said that the captain of flight BA282, which was traveling from LA to Heathrow, requested a priority landing as a female passenger required medical attention. The passenger (which was later identified as Ryder) was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and the plane touched down shortly before noon UK time. He also said that cabin crew looked after her as much as possible while on board.
The 37-year-old star was known for prominent roles in films, including Edward Scissorhands and Girl, Interrupted. She was twice nominated for an Academy Award for The Age of Innocence and Little Women. She will soon be seen in the eagerly anticipated Star Trek movie, due out next year. Besides her acting career, and her one-time hot romance with Johnny Depp, Ryder was once hit the headlines for shoplifting in Saks Fifth Avenue in December 2001.
Thankfully, the problems she had were all in the past. And thank God there’s nothing serious about her ill. Stay healthy Winona!
