Problems is not over for Rob Lowe and his wife, Sheryl. It gets multiplied. Last Friday (5/2), a woman named Laura Boyce speaking (and crying) in a 20-minute press conference about her new sexual harassment allegations against the actor’s wife. she appeared distraught as she said the couple “betrayed” her with their lawsuit against her, while her lawyer Gloria Allred claimed that Rob Lowe is jointly liable for any sexual harassment that occurred in his home.
She claimed, “I feel betrayed and hurt and extremely upset that (the Lowes) would sue me after I endured what I did in their household,” Boyce said through a stream of tears. “I never did anything to them other than give them my best efforts for their children”.
Just like previous allegations from Jessica Gibson, Laura Boyce gave details about what happened in the Lowe’s Mansion. Boyce, who worked for the couple for seven months in 2007, claims Sheryl created an “extremely sexually offensive and hostile work environment…behaving in a…perverted, disgusting and crude manner.” Boyce also alleges that Sheryl used the “n” word in reference to Boyce’s boyfriend, who was an NBA player. Sheryl also allegedly “walked around naked, completely exposing herself” to Boyce, asked about her boyfriend’s private parts and talked about Sheryl’s sex life with Rob.
On the other hand, Larry Stein, the Lowes’ attorney, said the lawsuit “seeks to drag (Lowe’s) wife and children into the fray” with “false allegations”.
It was started when Lowe, 44, and his wife Sheryl, 46, preemptively filed lawsuits against Boyce and two other ex-employees on April 7. They claim they’re the victims of an attempted $1.5 million extortion scheme, led by their former nanny, Jessica Gibson, 24.
A week later, Gibson filed a countersuit, alleging the actor repeatedly exposed himself and inappropriately touched her. Gibson worked for the couple off and on for seven years, having voluntarily quit twice, according to the Lowes. Meanwhile, the third employee, Peter Clements, the Lowes’ former private chef, has yet to file a legal response.
A deposition of the actor and his wife is set for May 19 and 20, respectively, in Santa Barbara, Calif., where they live.
Well, we’ll see where this case will headed. but definitely this will be a looonnng and winding road for the Lowes. they should be ready for all the bumpy roads!
