After a black parade, here comes a joy parade!

The vocalist of emo band My Chemical Romance (a.k.a MCR), Gerard Way will soon be a dad. He and his wife Lindsey are expecting their first child. The singer’s publicist shared the great news along with details that the baby is due early in the summer 2009.

31-year-old Way met 32-year-old Lindsey, or popularly known as Lyn-Z, on September 2007 after a concert in Colorado. She is the bass player of the band Mindless Self Indulgence. The pair got married on September 4, 2007, following the final date of Linkin’s Park’s “Projekt Revolution” tour backstage. The low-key ceremony was performed by member of Live Nation’s touring staff who happened to be an ordained minister.

Way’s band, My Chemical Romance is known for hits like Helena, The Ghost of You, Famous Last Words and Welcome to the Black Parade. They were reported currently working on the fourth album, that said will sounded more edgier than their previous albums.
