Mark Ruffalo’s Brother Died Because of Gunshot Wound

This time is a sad update.

A week after being shot in the head and stayed in coma, 39-year-old Scott Ruffalo, the younger brother of actor Mark Ruffalo, had lost his life.

Scott died late Monday night, and according to Sgt. Renato Moreno, spokesman for the Beverly Hills Police Department, he was removed from life support and pronounced dead shortly after 10 p.m. at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Luzelena, and stepdaughter Lucinda.

His death was only hours after a woman who’s wanted by police because the connection she had with the shooting turned herself in. That woman is 26-year-old Shaha Mishaal Adham.

A 29-year-old Brian Burton Scofield, who police named as a “person of interest” in the case, also turned himself in, but he has since been released. Adham is now being held without bail, and in the wake of Ruffalo’s death, the attempted murder charge is being upped to murder.

Police have yet to state a motive for the December 1 attack at Scott’s Beverly Hills home, or any details about Scofield and Adham or their relationship with Scott Ruffalo. 41-year-old Zodiac actor, Mark Ruffalo hasn’t made any comment about the shooting of his brother.

We’re sorry for the lost, especially for Mark. May the Ruffalos stay strong while the case is developing… Rest in Peace, Scott.
