Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Hudson proves that she is one strong woman.

Although Hudson is still in recovery process after the tragedy that happened to her family, but her spirit to work is still very strong. The good news was told by her label, J Records. According to the label, the Spotlight singer is set to begin filming a video next week for her latest single, If It Isn’t Love.

Hudson was actually going to film the clip in Los Angeles, just when the murders happened. On October 24, Jennifer’s mother, Darnell Hudson Donerson, and brother, Jason Hudson, were discovered shot to death in their Chicago home on the city’s South Side. Her 7-year-old nephew, Julian King, was also a victim of the slayings. Julian’s body was found in a sport utility vehicle three days later.

William Balfour, who is married to Jennifer’s sister Julia and the stepfather of Julian, has been charged in the killings. Prosecutors have said that Balfour’s motive was jealousy, because he was upset Julia had been dating another man. Balfour’s case is still in progress now.

Hudson herself has been a bit quite and in seclusion since the killings. But she didn’t forget to thanked the public for all the support they gave her since the tragedy. And after being nominated for four Grammy Awards -including best R&B album for her self-titled debut-, Jennifer issued a statement, saying, “It’s been a childhood dream of mine to release an album, so to receive four Grammy nominations is truly a blessing,” she said. “I am extremely honored and humbled by the nominations.”

Hopefully this positive attitude will clinging to Jennifer, always. I think there’s a phrase quite suitable for Jennifer Hudson, “Don’t let the sadness defeated you.” Best wishes for the Dreamgirls actress, you go girl!
