Seattle Grace Hospital is going to lose another doctor. This time is Dr. George O’Malley.

Even sadder than it already is, apparently the departure is a self request from T.R. Knight, the actor who played O’Malley. As said by an insider, Knight has asked producers to write him off the hit medical drama. He is said unhappy with his storyline, that’s why has asked to leave the medical drama series.

Although details of Knight’s exit have yet to be spread out, a source said that it seems likely his request will be granted and he will be released from his contract. Knight has three years left on his contract. A representative for ABC, the network for the series declined to comment.

35-year-old Knight was reported has not been attending table-reads for upcoming episodes or that he had walked off the set and cleaned out his dressing room. But a rep for the actor said the reports are inaccurate. It is also not true, the speculation about Knight that was still upset about his clash with former cast member, Isaiah Washington.

Well… lately, Grey’s Anatomy focusing on controversial storylines, such as romance between Katherine Heigl’s character, Izzie and her long-dead lover, Denny. Knight has received little screen time this season. Maybe it’s the biggest reason why Knight plans to leave the series, although the O’Malley character has brought many loyal fans to the series.

If the news finally came true, Knight will be the second doctor who leaves the series this season after last month’s departure of Dr. Erica Hahn, played by Brooke Smith. Fans everywhere will be sad as Seattle Grace Hospital lose another life…
