The suspect of Scott Ruffalo’s shooting, 26-year-old Shaha Mishaal Adham was free to go from jail today. Adham left the facility in Beverly Hills where she’d been held without bail since turning herself in Monday afternoon after police set out an attempted murder arrest warrant.

Her attorney, Ronald Richards said that his client was cleared of wrongdoing and released after police were shown evidence that the wound was self-inflicted.

Richards said he presented evidence to detectives during a five-hour meeting yesterday night that proved Adham did not shoot Scott Ruffalo early December 1.

He explained the self-inflicted hypothesis, saying, “This was an accidental shooting by someone that plays with guns.” He also credited police with being “more than impartial with the facts.”

Adham was said had gone to the hairstylist’s home only to retrieve keys to her sport utility vehicle, then left. Richards said that Adham received poor legal advice from other attorneys before her surrender, but now, Richards can assure Adham that no charges would be pursued against her. A police sergeant said more information would be released later today.

The younger brother of Blindness actor, Mark Ruffalo, Scott died at 39 Tuesday, after being removed from life support at a Los Angeles hospital. He was in a coma since the shooting happened last week. In a Tuesday evening statement, his family thanked supporters and announced the creation of a fund in his honor. The statement read, “Mark Ruffalo and his family deeply appreciate the outpouring of prayers and support during this most difficult time of the passing of Scott Ruffalo, beloved son, brother and husband.” According to family, Scott’s funeral service would be private.

So long Scott…
