Is the King of Pop had some difficulties in his finance department? Or is it one of his noble act?

For those of you who are fans of Michael Jackson, get ready to prepare some serious cash to buy the star’s memorabilia. That’s because the megahit singer will auctioning his significant treasures; starting from one of his iconic white gloves to the gates of the infamous Neverland Ranch.

Los Angeles-based auctioneers Julien’s announced Wednesday that more than 2,000 items belonging to the eccentric Heal the World singer would be put up for sale in April following a seven-day exhibition. The auction, that will be organized by Jacko himself, begins in Beverly Hills on April 21, 2009. A portion of the proceeds will go to a charity, MusiCares, that aimed at helping musicians in need. Bids will be accepted in person and online, plus the sale is to be broadcast live on Auction Network.

The white gloves were first unveiled in his 1983 “Billie Jean” video. It is predicted that the gloves will arouse huge interest, since it has become Jackson’s signature. While the wrought iron gates that once adorned the entrance to Jackson’s Neverland Ranch, are also predicted will get high price at the auction. An auctioneer, Darren Julien said that Jackson was sorting through thousands of personal items and his vast art collection from the abandoned Neverland Ranch and other places. As Julien said, “He has never had one (an auction),” Julien said. “We have been working closely with him for five months and he is in complete control of this.”

Jackson has not lived at the ranch since he was cleared of child molestation charges at his 2005 trial. Prosecutors alleged Jackson abused children at Neverland, which in its heyday feature a funfair and a zoo. Last November, Jackson handed over the title of Neverland to a company made up of himself and the firm that holds the $24 million loan on the property. Right now, he has no permanent home, and still live in Bahrain.

Although Jackson has been reported having financial troubles in the past few years, but according to Julien, the auction was not a forced sale. “This is something that Michael is doing of his own free will. He is not being forced into it,” Julien said. Talking about high price, the auction catalog alone will sell for $100 with a limited signed edition available for $500.
