Madonna Settles Divorce with Guy Ritchie

It’s finally settled.

Pop diva Madonna has reached a divorce settlement with Guy Ritchie on Monday. The singer’s spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg said that Madonna will pay her ex-husband British director Guy Ritchie between 50 million to 60 million pounds ($76 million to $92 million) as part of their divorce agreement which was granted by a British court on November 21.

Rosenberg says the outstanding numbers includes the value of the former couple’s country home, Ashcombe House in western England, which Ritchie will keep. As well as their west London pub, the Punchbowl. The country home itself is valued at about 20 million pounds ($30 million). “I’d assume it’s one of the largest payouts ever in a divorce settlement,” Rosenberg said. While a representative for the British filmmaker declined comment.

The couple’s combined wealth were reportedly worth some $525 million, the vast majority of which belonged to Madonna. 40-year-old Ritchie had an estimated $35 million fortune. Although the financial details of the settlement had been worked out, Madonna and Ritchie are still finalizing custodial arrangements for their children.

From their 8 years of marriage, the pair have an 8-year-old son named Rocco. The singer also has a 12-year-old daughter Lourdes, from her relationship with fitness trainer Carlos Leon. Last year, the 4 Minutes singer adopted a Malawi boy, 3-year-old David.

Madonna and Ritchie announced their split in October after months of tabloid speculation. Following the separation, Madonna was linked to the breakup of New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez and his wife, Cynthia. This is the second divorce for Madonna, her first one is from American actor Sean Penn.
