It’s the collaboration of Indiana Jones and The Mummy, but it’s definitely not an ancient thing.

The star of The Mummy, Brendan Fraser will join Harrison Ford, the all-time adventurist Indiana Jones, in a fact-based medical drama set for an early April start date, as announced Wednesday by CBS Films. The untitled movie will be the first production for CBS Films, a feature film division of broadcaster CBS, established in 2007.

Fraser will play John Crowley, the father of two children who were diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder for which he’s told there is no cure. He recruits the help of a medical researcher portrayed by Ford, who works to find a way to save the children’s lives. The movie company said the film’s screenplay is inspired by “The Cure,” a book by Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Geeta Anand about John F. Crowley, a former Bristol Myers Squibb executive who started his own biotech company to save his two children from a rare muscular disorder.

The movie will be directed by Tom Vaughan, who previously had directed Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz in What Happens in Vegas. The roles of Fraser’s wife and kids have not yet been cast, but it seems the movie will have great results with cast like Fraser and Ford.

Fraser starred in two box office hits last year, the third installment of The Mummy, entitled The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor and Journey to the Center of the Earth, a movie about adventure and exploration that was also released in 3D version. While Ford also starred in a big movie last year, the fourth installment of Indiana Jones, entitled Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, alongside Shia LaBeouf.

Can’t wait for the collaboration guys!
