Shia LaBeouf’s Driver License Suspended

Looks like Shia LaBeouf will use his ride time in the backseat now.

Last Saturday, the Transformers star had his driver’s license suspended for at least one year, as a result of his car crash last year. That’s because according to the California Department of Motor Vehicles, when LaBeouf was busted on suspicion of driving under the influence, the 22-year-old actor refuse to take a Breathalyzer test after officers pulled him over. As an official from the DMV said, “It was suspended for refusing a chemical test.”

Although later LaBeouf was cleared of any DUI charges after it was determined that the other driver who caused the accident, the suspension was “automatic”, suitable with California law that stated: a person’s license can be suspended for up to one year if he/she refuses to take a blood, breath or urine test for a suspected DUI. LaBeouf’s attorney couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.

Not only had to have surgeries for his hand after the accident, LaBeouf cannot sit behind the wheel from now on. It must be sad, but hopefully those effects will make him a much more careful driver in the future. Enjoy the ride, Shia!
