Molly Ringwald Soon To Be Mother of Twins

Happy news from former teenage star, Molly Ringwald. The actress and her husband are expecting twins. The joy is getting doubled!

Following the ‘trend’ of twins in today’s celebrities motherhood era, former member of teen ‘Brat Pack’, Molly Ringwald will be blessed with a son and a daughter. It will be the second daughter and first son for 40-year-old Ringwald and husband, 33-year-old writer, Panio Gianopoulos. The pair’s first daughter is Mathilda Ereni, who is now 5 years old. The babies are reportedly due in August.

Ringwald became a popular name in the 80’s, where she played several prominent roles in notable movies, most of them directed by John Hughes. Some of those teen classic films are Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, and Sixteen Candles. While starring in The Breakfast Club, Ringwald briefly dated her co-star, Anthony Michael Hall. Ringwald had also been married before, to a French writer, Valery Lameignère in 1999.

Currently, Ringwald can be seen as Anne Juergens, a woman who’s reeling from her husband’s affair and the anxious mother of a pregnant teen on The Secret Life of the American Teenager. The ABC’s show is now running its second season on Monday nights. According a spokeswoman for the show, Ringwald’s pregnancy will be written into the storyline.
