Kelly Rowland Waves Beyonce’s Dad Goodbye

Well, it’s not a forever goodbye though, but it’s a professional goodbye.

The Like This singer, Kelly Rowland is no longer under the care of manager Matthew Knowles. Rowland and the 58-year-old Knowles, who is also the father of Beyoncé, announced Wednesday that he is bowing out as her manager.

Rowland is like a daughter to the Knowles, she was raised since her childhood times by Matthew and his wife, Tina. The couple brought her up just like their other daughters, Beyoncé and Solange. Knowles has guided Rowland’s career since she was a kid, and united her in a group with Beyoncé called Destiny’s Child, which later -as we know- became one of the most successful female group of all time.

26-year-old Rowland said that she will always be a part of Beyoncé’s family, and Knowles shared the same feeling. Knowles is still managing his own daughter, the ‘Sasha Fierce’ Beyoncé, and reportedly will be working on his next girl band called From Above.

While still working on singing career and a bit of acting, Rowland also participated in philanthrophy act. She became MTV’s AIDS Awareness Ambassador in 2008 for their Staying Alive program. She has visited several countries in Africa including Tanzania, South Africa and Kenya spreading AIDS awareness.
