Chris Brown
A week after the incident, R&B singer Chris Brown finally coming out from his silence.
The 19-year-old Say Goodbye crooner released a statement through his publicist Michael Sitrick on Sunday, expressing his regrets by saying, “Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person.”
Brown was responding to many reports about the incident that are incorrect, “Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong.” Also last week, an account in Facebook under Brown’s name changed his status to single and then posted the comment, “You’ll begin to see her true colors. Believe it!” Brown continued his explanations to allegations of this act (and his comments), “While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds.”
Police and prosecutors are now still working on the case. They have not officially disclosed that 20-year-old Rihanna was the victim of Brown’s attack on February 8. Brown turned himself in to the police not long after the incident, and later on he was free on $50,000 bail. The Umbrella singer suffered a black eye, several wounds and bruises from the assault, but she didn’t file any charges to Brown. She is now reportedly back home in Barbados recuperating.
Well, counseling is a good start Chris. Get well soon, Riri!
