John McClane could ‘die hard’ and less-richer.
Actor Bruce Willis who played John McClane in the Die Hard series and his production company are being sued in Los Angeles for $4 million for breach of contract. The lawsuit was filed on Friday by three companies; Foresight Unlimited, Signature Entertainment Group and Three Stories Productions.
In the lawsuit, they alleges the actor and Willis Brother Films agreed on a contract with them to produce the feature film entitled Three Stories About Joan, which Willis was to star in and direct. The movie that actually will also have Owen Wilson and Camilla Belle on it, was left by Willis without notice on September 29, as stated in the lawsuit.
53-year-old Willis was reportedly stepping down from his director seat for personal reasons, leaving the set of a $20 million movie undirected. When contacted, his attorney Martin Singer, called the suit “absurd,” saying the film shut down because the producers ran out of money. He added that it’s Willis who supposedly sue the plaintiffs.
Hmm… we’ll see in the upcoming update then, whether Bruce or others who got the bitter part in this project. Yippikaye Bruce!
