It’s Britney Spears, One More Time

Fans of Britney Spears must be jumping joy and in heavy excitement right now. The superstar is back on stage.

Spears heating up her own hometown Tuesday night, by kicking off her concert tour, The Circus Starring Britney Spears, at the New Orleans Arena. It marked her first tour in five years. Yap, she’s back, ladies and gentlemen.

After a great opening act by the Pussycat Dolls, Spears appeared on her ‘Circus’ as the ringmaster and directing a colorful cast that included jugglers, acrobats and martial arts dancers. The concert was super crowded, as eyewitnesses said. Her loyal fans and members of the media are lined up for hours beforehand to get their hands on tour memorabilia and otherwise prove their loyalty to the comebacking pop star.

The 27-year-old pop superstar started the night by being lowered from the rafters in a cage and singing the single Circus, followed by Piece of Me and Radar with stripper-pole dancing. Later, Slave was sung along with fire shot out of the middle of the stage. Spears performed all 16 of her hits, including Toxic, Womanizer and Baby One More Time back-to-back. The songtress also gave a special performance, where Britney was cut in half as part of the show.

At the end of the nearly two-hour show, Spears closed her concert by saying, “Thank you so much, New Orleans” as she blew a kiss to the crowd. “You have a good night.” She gained a wild applause and obviously, that’s a proof of her dramatic return to the spotlight.

The tour will have much cities left to visit to. Spears will be performing in another to 27 cities in the United States before heading to Europe in June. Glad to have you back, Britney!
