Despite previous reports saying that the reconciled couple Rihanna and Chris Brown had recorded a duet track together, but apparently, those are all false reports.
As People claimed, a source from the recording label said that “Contrary to published reports, Chris Brown and Rihanna did not record a duet after the incident.” the source then continues, “around August or September of 2008, Chris and Rihanna’s vocals were recorded as the reference vocals for this demo only. [But] the song was never conceived or intended to be a duet between them, and was later recorded by other artists.”
The song that was mentioned using their reference vocals titled Bad Girl, a song that was eventually recorded by the Pussycat Dolls for the Confessions of a Shopaholic soundtrack, because reference vocals are actually created to give an understanding of how the writer intends a song to be sung on demo tracks sent out to other artists before the final recording process. Rihanna and Chris Brown’s version of the song had already leaked to the Internet early this year.
Although the duo did record a duet last year called Stronger that was meant for Rihanna’s album (but was never released), the source added final words, “Nothing has been recorded by Chris and Rihanna together since February.”
Hmm… although the project succeeded to make my curiosity grown, but I guess it’s too early since the February assault. Well, see you guys in the next project, duet or not!
