Natasha Richardson Was Laid To Rest

It’s time for family and friends of Natasha Richardson said their final goodbye to the star.

A church spokesperson said that the British actress was buried in northern New York state on Sunday. The funeral that was held at St. Peter’s Church in Millbrook, New York, attended by Richardson’s husband, actor Liam Neeson, their sons (13-year-old Michael and 12-year-old Daniel), her mother Vanessa Redgrave, her sister Joely Richardson.

Her dear friends such as Uma Thurman, Ralph Fiennes and Mia Farrow also arrived at the church, around 2.30 local time.

56-year-old Neeson, dressed in a dark suit and sunglasses, was the first to put his hand on the mahogany casket, which he and six other pallbearers carried to the church.

After the ceremony that lasted a little more than an hour, Neeson and the whole family drove to a nearby cemetery, where the burial took place.

Richardson was laid to rest in the same cemetery where her grandmother Rachel Redgrave is buried, and the two plots face each other. After Natasha’s burial service, Neeson joined Vanessa paid their respects to Rachel Redgrave’s grave.

Richardson left Neeson and her two sons, after skiing accident that led her to death on Wednesday. An accident that was actually thought not so serious, but apparently caused Natasha a brain damage. Before the funeral, a wake for Natasha was held on Friday at the headquarters of the American Irish Historical Society.
