Dustin Milligan Got Kicked from 90210

Looks like Dustin Milligan must find a new zipcode to live in.

The actor who played Ethan Ward in ‘90210′, reportedly would not be returning as a series regular in the second season of the series.

An insider confirmed that Milligan’s contract option is not being picked up for next season, although the door is being left open for Milligan to briefly appear, wrapping up Ethan’s story.

Sources said, the decision of firing 23-year-old Milligan might had something to do with the new show-runner for the series, Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair. She explained in an interview last month that she wanted to “reconceive things visually. There are opportunities to embrace California culture visually in terms of fashion and style; I want it to be more contemporary.”

Sinclair also added, “If ‘Gossip Girl’ is about youth in New York. I want to [make '90210'] about youth in L.A. and Beverly Hills.” She emphasized that the series would be “significantly” different than the first. Well, it’s significantly change alright.

Reps for the show’s network, CW, and producer Paramount declined to comment. It’s indicated that Milligan’s exit was strictly a creative decision. A source from the show’s production said, “Everyone loves Dustin. There was just a feeling that the character had run its course.”

Aww… so sad no more good looking Ethan in the show. But hopefully this remake of the popular 1990s prime-time soap opera won’t lose its charm just because Milligan is no longer in the show. I will keep my finger crossed for that!
